Plastic Recycling
Plastic recycling is the process of recovering scrap or waste plastics and reprocessing the material into useful products, sometimes completely different in form from their original state.
This could mean melting down soft drink bottles and then casting them as plastic chairs and tables.
Typically a plastic is not recycled into the same type of plastic, and products made from recycled plastics are often not recyclable.
Before recycling, plastics are sorted according to their resin identification code, a method of categorization of polymer types, which was developed by the Society of the Plastics Industry in 1988.
With the current trend toward green initiatives, companies around the world are seeking easy, efficient ways to offset their impact on the environment. Plastic recycling is a budget-friendly, responsible way to dispose of post-industrial waste.
As an added bonus for recycling your plastics, you’ll build a reputation as an eco-conscious company, which carries a lot of weight with today’s green-minded consumers.
We accept all of the following types of Plastics:
Polyethylene terephthalate (PET, PETE) |
|
High-density polyethylene (HDPE) |
|
Polyvinyl chloride (PVC) |
|
Low-density polyethylene (LDPE) |
|
Polypropylene (PP) |
|
Polystyrene (PS) |
|
Other (often polycarbonate or ABS) |
Like a shadow that does not permit us to jump over it, but moves with us to maintain its proper distance, pollution is nature’s answer to culture. When we have learned to recycle pollution into potent information, we will have passed over completely into the new cultural ecology.
